Forensic Structural Engineer, P.E. - Florida Remote
EFI Global is hiring a Florida-licensed forensic structural engineer to investigate structural failures, storm damage, and building collapses. The role involves preparing engineering analyses, reports, and expert testimony for insurers and litigation clients.

- Survey residential and commercial property losses and loss scenes
- Investigate and document the scope of building damage
- Assess failure-related damage and determine failure origins for insurers and litigation support
- Analyze and document structural failures and their causation
- Work with fire investigators to prepare detailed reports on the causes and origins of losses and damage
- Provide expert testimony in court and depositions
- Track billable hours and project expenses for forensic engineering assignments
- Collaborate with EFI Global’s national forensic engineering team
- Deliver comprehensive engineering analyses to clients across multiple industries
Талаптар
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Florida
- At least six years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Practical experience identifying the causes of structural failures
- Experience assessing storm and roof damage
- Experience conducting building envelope investigations
- Experience evaluating structural collapses
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to kneel, squat, bend, stoop, reach overhead, climb, and crawl
- Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to drive for up to four hours per day
