DevOps Specialist – Azure AKS | GFT Technologies (Remote)

DevOps Specialist responsible for building and architecting multi-environment AKS platforms at GFT Technologies. The role focuses on Azure infrastructure automation, high availability, and migrating applications to containers.

  • Build and architect multi-environment AKS platforms covering infrastructure as code, high availability, and application migration to containers.
  • Develop and version Terraform modules for provisioning parameterized environments.
  • Provision and configure AKS clusters, including node pools, availability zones, upgrade policies, RBAC, and network policies.
  • Deploy and operate a highly available control plane with Argo CD, HashiCorp Vault, and Atlantis.
  • Configure traffic ingress through Gateway API, workload identity, and secret consumption.
  • Connect clusters to the corporate network by configuring routes, firewall rules, private endpoints, and private DNS zones.
  • Lead technical activities during application cutover windows, including traffic splitting and rollback planning.
  • Document environment parity, operational runbooks, and code-generated technical materials.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer for client and operations teams.

  • Demonstrated experience operating Kubernetes in production, preferably with Azure Kubernetes Service.
  • Advanced Terraform knowledge, including module authoring, variables, outputs, versioning, and remote state.
  • Advanced Azure expertise covering virtual networking, routes, Private Endpoint, Private DNS, Microsoft Entra ID, Key Vault, and Container Registry.
  • Practical GitOps experience with Argo CD or Flux, including repository structures, projects, and synchronization policies.
  • Experience with Helm and Kustomize.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps and federated authentication.
  • Knowledge of Docker image build and verification best practices.
  • Ability to propose, document, and substantiate architectural decisions in writing.
  • English proficiency sufficient to read technical documentation.
  • Preferred experience includes production use of HashiCorp Vault; Gateway API or Application Gateway for Containers; KEDA and event-driven autoscaling; Datadog observability; serverless-to-container migrations; or CKA, CKS, AZ-104, or AZ-305 certification.
