Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster - California Hybrid
Handle California personal auto bodily injury claims from liability investigation through settlement or litigation. The role covers file management, negotiation, reserves, legal coordination, and claim resolution.

- Manage an assigned caseload of personal auto bodily injury claims
- Investigate liability, causation, and damage evaluations
- Assess medical records and related injury evidence
- Set and update claim reserves appropriately
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and their attorneys
- Evaluate liability and comparative negligence under California law
- Prepare Large Loss Reports for high-exposure claims
- Receive, review, and summarize lawsuits
- Arrange defense counsel retention when required
- Manage and track claims in litigation
- Participate in mediations when needed
- Pursue subrogation opportunities and make appropriate SIU referrals
- Keep claim files accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements
- Manage claims through investigation, settlement, or final resolution

- At least 1–3 years of personal auto claims experience
- Experience handling bodily injury claims is preferred
- Property Damage adjusters pursuing advancement into bodily injury claims are encouraged to apply
- California claims handling experience is preferred
- Strong investigative, negotiation, and documentation abilities
- Ability to manage a claim inventory independently
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and claims management systems
- Spanish bilingual skills are a plus
