Vice President of Artificial Intelligence
Lead enterprise-wide AI strategy, governance, literacy, and transformation for Public Consulting Group. Drive responsible AI value creation and scalable capabilities for public-sector clients.
Description
- Lead enterprise-wide AI innovation and value creation initiatives
- Advance AI transformation, literacy, strategy, capabilities, operating models, and governance practices
- Define and sustain a strategic vision for AI-enabled value creation
- Partner with board members, the corporate C-suite, business leaders, and other stakeholders
- Build an AI strategy and organizational structure aligned with the enterprise vision
- Set objectives and evaluate the performance of AI initiatives
- Promote collaboration and alignment across the organization around the enterprise AI vision
- Develop internal and external AI ecosystems with vendors, partners, research institutions, regulators, and industry associations
- Shape and deliver product roadmaps that support business growth
- Chair the AI governance board
- Develop responsible AI policies and governance programs covering data use, model explainability, fairness, privacy, regulatory compliance, and ethics
- Coordinate security, risk, compliance, legal, ethics, safety, and related stakeholders
- Implement transparent AI portfolio evaluation and management processes to measure business value and ROI
- Expand enterprise AI literacy and lead transformation and change-management programs
- Define operating models and delivery capabilities for engineering and scaling AI initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in artificial intelligence or data science is preferred
- At least 10 years of business experience, preferably including recent work at or near the executive level in information or technology management
- Experience with independent P&L responsibilities is preferred
- At least five years of progressive leadership experience managing cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
- At least five years of experience defining and leading enterprise-wide programs or initiatives
- At least five years of AI experience in information-intensive industries or digitally advanced organizations
- At least five years leading AI engineering, software engineering, or advanced data science initiatives
- Experience designing and delivering adaptive or intelligent solutions
- Experience coordinating AI platforms and selecting or using AI capabilities embedded in enterprise applications
- Ten or more years of software engineering experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, best practices, tools, and platforms
- Experience creating new channels, business models, or business transformations
- Experience driving enterprise change and technology-led transformation programs
- Background in strategy or management consulting, multiple industries, and vertical-specific knowledge is desirable
- Experience building architectures on AWS or Azure
- Experience with modern databases, cloud environments, and data ecosystems
- Familiarity with regulatory and data protection requirements, including the EU AI Act, GDPR, and CCPA
