Underwriting Intern - Wichita Hybrid
Paid underwriting internship supporting property-casualty insurance evaluations in Wichita. Assist underwriters with submissions while developing knowledge of underwriting processes and insurance products.
Description
- Join one of EMC’s branch underwriting departments.
- Support underwriters by gathering information needed to evaluate new business and renewal submissions.
- Communicate with agents and other external contacts.
- Develop familiarity with EMC’s culture, business processes, and products.
- Build an understanding of insurance underwriting practices.
Requirements
- Pursuing a business degree, preferably with a focus on insurance, marketing, or finance.
- Junior-year completion is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in a career in property-casualty insurance.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
