Description
- Monitor alerts from technical stacks in SIRP platforms
- Classify incidents, issue notifications, recommend remediation, and coordinate stakeholders during response
- Improve technical stacks and configurations to automate workflows and increase service efficiency
- Support the collection and management of security logs
- Build automated response capabilities with APIs, orchestrators, and security playbooks
- Gather, analyze, develop, and distribute cyber threat intelligence
- Carry out threat-hunting investigations
- Help identify, assess, and manage vulnerabilities
- Produce and evaluate operational and performance metrics while assessing risk and threat coverage
- Oversee deployments of local SOC environments and data lake or SIEM platforms, including ongoing maintenance
- Conduct incident-response work spanning investigations, digital forensics, reverse engineering, compromise assessments, containment, eradication, recovery, and crisis management
- Work with a 40-consultant SOC/CERT team to deliver services through varied client service models
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
- Initial professional experience in a SOC and/or CERT environment
- Understanding of attack techniques used by threat actors
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to provide cyber-defense expertise across different service models
- Programming and scripting capability
- Strong foundations in network and systems infrastructure and application security
- Able to communicate clear situation updates under pressure and produce effective analyses and recommendations
