Lead accounting and controlling consultants at DONE!Financials, a German boutique consultancy delivering tailored financial services. Oversee team development, client relationships, complex accounting matters, and the advancement of modern finance processes.
Description
- Lead three to six consultants through functional and disciplinary management
- Hold development conversations, deliver feedback, and support employees’ professional growth
- Support consultants in client projects and handle critical assignments directly
- Act as the main contact for clients
- Explain complex financial topics in a clear, accessible way
- Own and manage a client engagement or project
- Develop standards, quality controls, handovers, onboarding practices, and efficient workflows
- Shape capacity planning and utilization with senior management
- Help develop the company’s future financial services
- Provide final subject-matter guidance on complex accounting matters, German VAT, and critical financial statements
- Assess, test, and introduce AI-enabled financial tools
Requirements
- Hold a Certified Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) qualification, tax advisor credential, or comparable certification
- Bring at least ten years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or controlling
- Have a proven track record in a role with significant responsibility
- Have managed a team of at least three people
- Demonstrate strong financial closing expertise and end-to-end annual accounts preparation under the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Possess solid knowledge of German VAT law
- Have advanced working knowledge of DATEV Kanzlei-Rechnungswesen and DATEV Unternehmen online
- Experience with IFRS is advantageous but not essential
- Be prepared to travel and work regularly on-site for team leadership, client meetings, and team events
- Have experience with AI-supported or automated finance processes
- Bring high energy and a practical, hands-on approach
