Senior Software Engineering Manager at Cyderes — Hybrid, United States
Lead a distributed engineering team building Cyderes’ cybersecurity portal and integrating MDR and Meridian capabilities. Drive scalable React, AWS, and AI-assisted software development across a multi-tenant platform.
Description
- Manage and mentor seven software engineers working across the United States and India
- Architect, develop, and launch the next-generation Cyderes portal
- Build scalable multi-tenant web applications, APIs, dashboards, reporting tools, and workflow and ticket-management features
- Create modern frontend experiences with React, TypeScript, and AWS Amplify
- Develop backend services and APIs with Python, Java, and/or Go
- Lead AWS cloud architecture and application development
- Provide hands-on technical direction through architecture, coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production releases
- Integrate and expand MDR, Meridian, and other Cyderes capabilities within the new portal
- Advance engineering practices through AI-assisted and agentic development tools, including Claude
- Work with Product, Engineering, and technology leaders to turn requirements into scalable technical solutions
Requirements
- At least eight years of software engineering experience with substantial hands-on development work
- Experience managing engineers or serving as a technical lead in a comparable leadership role
- Strong background in AWS and cloud-native application development
- Advanced hands-on skills with React and TypeScript
- Proficiency in Python, Java, and/or Go
- Experience developing multi-tenant SaaS or web applications, APIs, dashboards, and reporting systems
- AWS Amplify experience is preferred
- Solid knowledge of software architecture, system design, scalability, security, and CI/CD
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude is preferred
- Strong communication and mentoring abilities, including experience leading distributed teams in the United States and India
- Cybersecurity, MDR, SOC, or security-platform experience is a plus
