Senior Java Microservices Developer
Develop and modernize backend microservices for B&A Consulting, including migration to Java 21, application security, and system integration.
Description
- Build and enhance Java backend applications
- Maintain and modernize microservices architectures
- Migrate applications from Java 11+ to Java 21
- Develop services with Spring Boot
- Manage API routing with Spring Cloud Gateway
- Design and integrate REST APIs
- Develop and maintain the persistence layer with Spring Data JPA and Hibernate
- Manage authentication, authorization, and roles
- Integrate logging, monitoring, and metrics systems
- Manage multi-module builds and dependencies with Maven
- Work with DevOps teams on containerized environments
Requirements
- More than five years of Java development experience
- Strong knowledge of Java 11+
- Experience migrating or modernizing applications to Java 21
- Experience with Spring Boot 2.7.x / 3.5.x
- Knowledge of Spring Cloud Gateway
- Experience with Spring Data JPA and Hibernate
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Good knowledge of SQL Server
- Experience with T-SQL stored procedures
- Knowledge of transactions and connection pooling
- Experience with Tomcat JDBC
- Knowledge of JWT / JJWT
- Experience with SAML 2.0 authentication
- Good knowledge of Spring Security
- Experience with Log4j2 and structured JSON logging
- Knowledge of Spring Actuator
- Familiarity with Repository, Service Layer, DTO, and Dependency Injection patterns
- Strong experience with microservices architectures
- Good knowledge of Maven, including multi-module projects
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
