Description

  • Build software components to match design specifications.
  • Integrate systems and test their behavior.
  • Investigate and resolve software issues.
  • Write unit tests for software components.
  • Help estimate project scope and delivery timelines.
  • Work closely with teammates and communicate with project stakeholders.
  • Advise on product roadmaps from a technical perspective.
  • Take part in incident triage, investigation, and prioritization.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD processes.
  • Build and maintain tailored software for a major European public-sector software provider.
  • Contribute to a tax administration system for declarations, calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems.

Requirements

  • Bring at least six years of Java development experience.
  • Have strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.
  • Understand microservices architecture and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Have worked with relational databases, including PostgreSQL or another RDBMS.
  • Have experience with REST or SOAP integrations and messaging systems such as Kafka and ActiveMQ.
  • Understand software testing principles.
  • Communicate confidently in English.
  • Work effectively with stakeholders and distributed teams.
  • Angular front-end experience is a plus.
  • German or Swiss German language skills are a plus.
  • Experience with Java, Spring, Quarkus, Angular, PostgreSQL, RESTEasy, Hibernate or Panache, Kafka, microservices, Maven, Flyway, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jira, ArgoCD, and Grafana.
