Description

  • Build software components from design specifications.
  • Integrate and test systems.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues.
  • Write unit tests for software components.
  • Help estimate project effort and delivery timelines.
  • Work closely with teammates and communicate with project stakeholders.
  • Advise on product roadmaps.
  • Take part in incident triage, analysis, and prioritization.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD processes.
  • Develop and maintain tailored software for a large European public-sector customer.
  • Contribute to a tax administration system for processing declarations, calculating and assessing taxes, and integrating with external systems.

Requirements

  • Bring at least 6 years of Java development experience.
  • Have strong experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus.
  • Understand microservices architecture and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Have experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL or another RDBMS.
  • Have experience with REST and SOAP integrations and messaging technologies such as Kafka and ActiveMQ.
  • Understand software testing principles.
  • Communicate confidently in English.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders and distributed teams.
  • Angular front-end development experience is an advantage.
  • German or Swiss German language skills are an advantage.
