Senior Full-Stack Engineer – Java and Web, Remote India
Build scalable Java and web platforms for subscriptions, payments, entitlement management, and Fire TV in-app purchases. Support Proximity Works’ sports, media, and entertainment technology clients.
Description
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications with Java and modern web technologies.
- Create frontend and backend capabilities for subscription, payment, and entitlement management systems.
- Build responsive, high-performance interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or comparable frameworks.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices for subscription and payment workflows.
- Implement Fire TV in-app purchase flows covering purchases, renewals, cancellations, and entitlement synchronization.
- Connect applications with external payment providers, app stores, and platform APIs.
- Develop resilient systems that withstand traffic surges and high concurrent usage.
- Enhance application performance, availability, monitoring, and reliability.
- Manage failures, retries, reconciliation, and consistent user state across distributed systems.
- Partner with backend, frontend, product, and platform teams to deliver features end to end.
- Produce maintainable, thoroughly tested, production-quality code.
- Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
- Strong frontend development skills with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with React, Next.js, or comparable modern frontend frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of microservices and distributed-system design.
- Background building high-scale, consumer-facing applications.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Practical exposure to caching technologies such as Redis.
- Experience with messaging or event-streaming platforms such as Kafka is preferred.
- Experience using cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and production debugging.
- At least seven years of software engineering experience.
- Strong system-design and software-architecture experience.
- Experience designing for high concurrency, large traffic volumes, and high availability.
- Ability to lead complex technical implementations from design through delivery.
- Experience mentoring engineers and shaping engineering best practices.
