Senior DevOps Engineer - Mexico Remote
Lead cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and platform reliability for Bounteous as a senior DevOps engineer. Build secure, scalable, automated environments supporting the company’s global AI services work.
Description
- Own DevOps and deployment workflows across development, QA, staging, and production.
- Build, maintain, and refine CI/CD pipelines that support dependable, automated application delivery.
- Provision and operate cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Administer containerized workloads and Kubernetes environments.
- Automate infrastructure, deployments, configuration, and operational processes.
- Work with engineering teams to strengthen build, release, and deployment workflows.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for applications and infrastructure.
- Apply security, scalability, availability, and reliability standards to infrastructure and deployment practices.
- Investigate complex infrastructure, networking, deployment, and production problems through root-cause resolution.
- Develop backup, recovery, high-availability, and disaster-recovery capabilities.
- Track infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and cloud resource consumption.
- Identify opportunities to reduce cloud costs and optimize resource usage.
- Review technical implementations and advise development teams on DevOps and cloud practices.
- Keep technical references, operating procedures, deployment guides, and runbooks current.
- Drive ongoing improvements in platform stability, delivery efficiency, security, automation, and developer experience.
Requirements
- At least six years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Background designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated infrastructure provisioning.
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience operating production environments and resolving complex deployment, infrastructure, and application issues.
- Strong knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or comparable CI/CD tools.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code knowledge, preferably with Terraform.
- Scripting experience in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or a comparable language.
- Solid understanding of Git and branching and release strategies.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux systems.
- Strong networking knowledge, including DNS, load balancers, firewalls, SSL/TLS, and connectivity.
- Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, secrets management, access controls, and vulnerability management.
- Cloud, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications are advantageous.
- Helm, Ansible, microservices, cloud-native architecture, monitoring platforms, service mesh, API gateways, database deployment and migration, disaster recovery, backup, high availability, business continuity, SRE practices, SLIs/SLOs, capacity planning, and performance optimization are desirable additional skills.
