Senior Board Design Hardware Engineer
Lead NVIDIA GPU networking switch design from initial concept through production. Develop high-performance board systems for next-generation data center servers.
Description
- Lead switch system design from concept through mass production
- Coordinate with teams across board design, mechanics, thermal engineering, PCB layout, production, software and firmware, RTL, and other hardware disciplines
- Act as the project decision maker and technical lead
- Define product specifications
- Develop electrical schematics
- Choose components
- Guide board layout
- Conduct hands-on testing in a laboratory
- Support production and qualification processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 12 or more years of board design experience
- Experience executing complex hardware projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary projects
- Practical laboratory skills
- Knowledge of multilayer PCB design
- Experience designing high-current power delivery systems
- Strong understanding of RTL implementations, including CPLD and FPGA
- Project management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience designing data center switches for high-volume manufacturing
- Demonstrated high-speed design knowledge at 25 Gb/s or above
- Experience leading a hardware team
- Knowledge of advanced PCB technology
- Experience leading customer discussions and understanding product requirements
