Description
- Develop and optimise critical microservices with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF)
- Build comprehensive unit tests with Pytest and automated quality controls
- Design scalable APIs that support high-concurrency traffic during peak travel periods
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks, including N+1 queries and inefficient asynchronous tasks
- Work with Product and QA to turn complex business requirements into maintainable technical solutions
- Promote software lifecycle best practices through design patterns, documentation, and thorough code reviews
Requirements
- At least five years of backend development experience, with advanced expertise in Django and Django REST Framework (DRF)
- Strong knowledge of unit testing and quality-first development practices
- Demonstrated experience designing microservices architectures and integrating complex third-party systems
- Proficiency with asynchronous programming and high-load database queries
- Currently based in Ireland or prepared to relocate
- Already hold a valid work visa

- Experience with Silk or comparable performance-profiling tools is desirable
