Senior Analytics Engineer
Build dbt data models for Numan’s AI-powered digital health platform and advance analytics across commercial, marketing, clinical operations, and patient outcomes. Set technical standards and guide analytical projects in partnership with teams across the business.
Description
- Build and maintain scalable, tested dbt models for analytics across commercial, marketing, health outcomes, and clinical operations.
- Set standards for data modelling, testing, documentation, and code quality as a senior technical voice in analytics engineering.
- Lead analytical projects from scoping through delivery, managing dependencies, risks, critical paths, and stakeholder updates.
- Mentor data scientists and analysts in data modelling, code review, and continuous learning.
- Work with clinical, commercial, and product teams to turn complex needs into robust, documented data models.
- Assess and champion AI-powered analytics tools, contributing to Numan’s direction on emerging technologies.
- Improve data quality, reliability, and governance across the transformation layer, monitoring usage and resolving issues proactively.
- Report to the Head of Data Engineering and collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders throughout the business.
Requirements
- Bring 3–5 or more years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence.
- Have owned end-to-end data model design across multiple business areas, ideally covering at least two of commercial, marketing, health outcomes, or clinical and operational analytics.
- Manage stakeholders effectively and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including clinical and commercial teams.
- Have experience setting technical standards and delivering high-quality work in a small, high-performing data team.
- Work pragmatically and independently, prioritising high-impact solutions over unnecessary complexity.
- Show a genuine interest in AI and emerging analytics technologies.
- Use SQL at an expert level, including window functions, CTEs, advanced aggregations, and cloud warehouse optimisation.
- Have deep dbt experience across models, macros, tests, packages, documentation, exposures, and CI/CD.
