Remote Staff Medicaid Consultant at BerryDunn

Support U.S. state Medicaid agencies with APD funding documentation and outcomes-based procurement. Develop client materials, budgets, research, and project coordination resources.

Description

  • Prepare APD narratives, budget records, Medicaid Detailed Budget Tables, and other CMS submission materials.
  • Support outcomes-based procurement through research, requirements gathering, document preparation, and procurement activities.
  • Research client needs and produce analyses, presentations, reports, and supporting materials.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and project colleagues.
  • Monitor action items, risks, issues, decisions, deliverables, and project milestones.
  • Draft and edit meeting agendas, minutes, status updates, presentations, and other client materials.
  • Maintain project repositories and records, arrange meetings, and follow up on deliverables.
  • Take part in team meetings, training, and professional development.
  • Complete administrative and project coordination work accurately and efficiently.
  • Contribute to firm-wide knowledge sharing, process improvement, and business development initiatives.
  • Help state Medicaid agencies plan, develop, finance, implement, and oversee programs and initiatives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field; five years of applicable experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Experience producing clear, polished written materials such as reports, proposals, policies, and business documents.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, prioritize competing deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Interest in Medicaid consulting, APD development, budgeting, procurement, project management, and related advisory work.
  • Initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Travel to client sites may be required for 25–50% of the role, with additional travel possible depending on client and project needs.
