Remote Reporting Analyst, Power BI

Description
- Create and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Develop complex DAX calculations and efficient data models.
- Improve dashboard performance while working with large, high-frequency datasets.
- Build reports on production volumes, well performance, downtime, and operational KPIs.
- Use SQL and ETL processes to extract, transform, and combine data from multiple sources.
- Set up data validation and reconciliation processes to support accurate reporting.
- Work with engineering, operations, accounting, and business teams to understand their reporting needs.
- Turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Improve reporting solutions for performance, scalability, and ease of use.
Requirements
- Bring 2–4 years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, or data visualization.
- Have substantial hands-on experience creating advanced Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Know DAX well, including complex measures and calculations.
- Have strong SQL and relational database skills.
- Understand data modeling and ETL processes.
- Have worked with large or high-frequency datasets, including time-series data.
- Be able to improve dashboard performance and troubleshoot reporting problems.
- Bring strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Communicate clearly and explain technical concepts to varied stakeholders.
- Work independently and collaborate across teams.
- Experience in upstream oil and gas, energy, manufacturing, or industrial operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with AVEVA PI System, PI AF, or PI Integrator is preferred.
- Experience with SCADA systems or production accounting data is preferred.
- Knowledge of operational measures such as production volumes, BOE, downtime, asset uptime, and lease operating expenses is preferred.
- Experience analyzing industrial or operational time-series data is preferred.
