Remote Purchase Ledger Clerk in South Africa
Manage supplier invoices, reconciliations and payment proposals for a UK employer. Work remotely from South Africa during UK business hours.
Description
- Record supplier invoices accurately in the ledger
- Match invoices with orders and delivery notes
- Handle invoice queries with suppliers
- Draft payment proposals for approval
- Reconcile supplier statements against ledger records
- Manage the purchase ledger from invoice receipt through payment approval
- Follow established processes and work collaboratively with the team
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable work, with a record of accurate processing
- Working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- Strong Excel skills
- A reliable laptop, stable fibre internet connection and quiet workspace
- Availability to work 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST)
- Three-way matching experience is an advantage
- Familiarity with Dext or Hubdoc is an advantage
- Experience with UK VAT coding is an advantage
