Remote Data Analyst, Deposits — Salmon Robotics
Analyze Salmon’s deposits portfolio to shape reporting, retention insights, churn forecasts, and product recommendations for its Southeast Asian fintech platform.
Description
- Partner with the deposits product team to shape measurement and product decisions.
- Take business questions from data extraction through analysis to recommendations.
- Deliver regular portfolio reports and conduct ad hoc research, segmentation, and unit economics analysis.
- Analyze deposit portfolio volumes, composition, and trends over time.
- Define product metrics, funnels, and retention analyses.
- Track portfolio liquidity and concentration.
- Forecast depositor churn and investigate its drivers.
- Turn findings into clear recommendations for the product team.
Requirements
- Use SQL window functions, common table expressions, and complex joins in practice.
- Apply sound statistical knowledge and lead investigations from initial question to conclusion.
- Communicate in English at B1 level or higher in writing, documentation, and calls.
- Bring strong analytical judgment; demonstrated ability matters more than years of experience.
- Experience with Databricks or Spark SQL is a plus.
- Experience with dbt is a plus.
- Experience with Python is a plus.
- Experience building BI dashboards, including in Tableau, is a plus.
- Fintech or banking experience is a plus.
