Description
- Design software around customer and user experience.
- Contribute to the architecture, design and engineering centre of excellence.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Deliver customer outcomes through engineering, innovation and customer-focused technology design.
- Partner with software engineers to prototype new ideas.
- Work with domain and enterprise architects to validate and apply relevant architectures.
- Develop software that automates build, test and deployment processes.
- Strengthen software engineering practices across the business.
- Define, create, oversee and govern engineering and design solutions.
- Design and build complex software, scripts and tools for banking platforms, applications and services.
- Serve as a point of contact for solution design.
- Create architecture models and roadmaps for application and software components.
- Promote consistent usability across products and domains.
- Write, test and implement working code.
- Use Agile methods and DevOps practices in software development.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in software engineering, software or database design, and architecture.
- Experience developing software using DevOps and Agile frameworks.
- Expert knowledge of current market trends, technologies and tools.
- Demonstrated experience applying programming best practices, particularly for scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability and performance.
- Strong Python skills or experience in Java back-end engineering.
- Experience building generative and agentic AI with AWS services.
- Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and vector databases.
- Experience configuring and tuning long-term and short-term agent memory.
- Experience with context management and response suppression techniques.
- Experience implementing and enforcing AI guardrails.
- Experience designing and implementing tool calling.
- Experience with agent logging, monitoring and auditability.
