Part-Time Reddit Content Specialist — California Remote
Think Academy U.S. is seeking a part-time Reddit Content Specialist to strengthen its organic presence across Reddit, Quora, and other online communities. The role focuses on creating useful content, managing community engagement, and finding growth opportunities for a K–12 education company.
Description
- Investigate relevant discussions, questions, and audience needs across Reddit and Quora
- Create thoughtful posts, comments, and answers that offer genuine value to community members
- Oversee Think Academy’s subreddit through content planning, publishing, engagement, and moderation
- Cultivate relationships and represent Think Academy credibly within relevant communities
- Monitor content results and uncover potential opportunities for organic growth
- Discover and assess emerging communities that align with Think Academy’s target audiences
- Study each community’s culture, user behavior, content conventions, and participation rules
- Create community-specific engagement plans tailored to different audiences and platforms
Requirements
- At least one year of practical experience managing Reddit and Quora accounts or communities
- Excellent English-language writing, editing, and research abilities
- Strong capability to interpret user intent and audience needs
- Working knowledge of Reddit culture, subreddit rules, moderation, and effective engagement practices
- Proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable working independently
- Demonstrated ownership of projects and their outcomes
- Preferred: Experience managing or expanding a branded subreddit
- Preferred: Familiarity with K–12 education or content for parents
- Preferred: Background in community analytics, organic growth, or SEO
