Medical Claims and Insurance Specialist - Louisville Hybrid Contract
Process medical claims, electronic submissions, denials, and accounts receivable follow-up for TEKsystems. This junior-level contract role is hybrid in Louisville, Kentucky.
Description
- Prepare and process a range of medical insurance claims
- Validate claim data through daily coordination with relevant agencies
- Submit electronic claims to multiple payers each day
- Investigate claim errors, correct discrepancies, and resubmit claims
- Review daily accounts receivable reports and pursue overdue balances
- Investigate and answer payer and agency questions about accounts receivable activity
- Maintain and update accounts receivable schedules to monitor issues and resolutions
- Address customer requests, questions, and concerns
Requirements
- High school diploma is required
- At least one year of medical claims or insurance experience
- Dependable internet access and a suitable home office space
- Proficiency with computers and data entry
- Experience with insurance verification, denial management, prior authorization, insurance claims, and claims processing
- Must reside in Kentucky
