Legal Counsel - Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Legal Counsel supporting Perry Homes with commercial contracts, compliance, transactions, and business risk management. The role also involves drafting agreements and overseeing contract administration.
Description
- Support the Director, Senior Counsel with legal guidance on commercial contracts
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other transactional documents
- Assess and address project and business risks
- Advise business units on legal risk and compliance matters
- Counsel the business on contractor and consultant master service agreements, software licenses, vendor agreements, and related commercial contracts
- Manage the Company’s contract management platform
- Support corporate document drafting and review, as well as land acquisition matters when needed
- Track legal developments relevant to the Company’s operations
- Help execute the Company’s legislative and regulatory agenda
- Complete assignments with limited notice and demanding deadlines
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as Counsel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Valid current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
