Lead Private Banking Auditor

Lead risk-based audits and strengthen controls across wealth management for an international private bank. The full-time role is based in Zurich with a hybrid work arrangement.

Description

  • Build trusted audit partnerships with business area management.
  • Provide audit guidance and expertise in internal controls.
  • Perform risk-based audits and consulting engagements across wealth management.
  • Analyze business operations and processes to identify weaknesses, patterns, trends, and correlations.
  • Write detailed audit reports covering weaknesses, related risks, and practical mitigation recommendations.
  • Review management’s corrective actions through follow-up activities.
  • Assess risks annually across Wealth Management operating units.
  • Recommend priorities for the next annual audit plan.
  • Share practices in computer-assisted auditing, data visualization, and data analytics.
  • Contribute expertise to improve internal audit practices and risk and control efforts.
  • Travel up to 15% per year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics or finance.
  • An audit credential such as CA, CPA, CFA, CIA, or CISA is advantageous.
  • Fluent German is required.
  • Relevant experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance at an international or private bank.
  • Sound knowledge of products and processes in the field.
  • Able to work effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative and interpersonally skilled, with the confidence to challenge others.
  • Excellent organization and time management, including handling multiple projects and assignments with different deadlines.
  • Strong IT aptitude and advanced Excel skills.
