Junior Java Full-Stack Developer in Mexico City
IDS Comercial is hiring a junior Java full-stack developer for hybrid work in Mexico City. The role focuses on modernizing enterprise applications through Struts-to-Spring migrations, REST APIs, microservices, and SQL Server.
Description
- Develop, maintain, and modernize Java applications
- Migrate legacy applications from Struts to Spring
- Update Java components for compatibility with Java 17/21 and Spring 6
- Develop and consume REST APIs and microservices using Swagger/OpenAPI
- Write SQL queries and consume or modify stored procedures in SQL Server
- Identify and resolve code defects and security vulnerabilities
- Manage and optimize Maven dependencies and POM files
Requirements
- At least two years of Java backend and frontend development experience
- One to two years of experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC
- Higher education degree at the bachelor's level
- Java 8 or later
- Object-oriented programming principles
- Experience developing and maintaining Java applications
- Experience consuming REST services
- Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI and microservices
- SQL Server, SQL, and stored procedures
- Git, Bitbucket, Maven, and Jira
- Basic knowledge of code quality, code analysis, and defect resolution
- Availability for hybrid work in Álvaro Obregón, Mexico City
- Java 11, 17, or 21; Spring MVC 5/6; Struts; JSP; Servlets; JavaScript; jQuery; HTML; SonarQube; and Black Duck are valued
