Instructional Systems Designer - CAE USA, Homebush Hybrid

Design and quality-assure training solutions for CAE USA’s Australian defence and security customers. Coordinate development projects, stakeholders, schedules, and instructional standards.

Description

  • Coordinate training development across multiple concurrent projects
  • Assess training content for quality and alignment with established standards
  • Partner with subject matter experts and development teams to deliver engaging learning solutions
  • Track schedules, balance priorities, and flag delivery risks
  • Prepare project updates and reports for key stakeholders
  • Help improve instructional design, writing, and media standards throughout the training development lifecycle
  • Domestic and international travel may occasionally be required

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116 or TAE40122
  • Undergraduate qualification in education, adult learning, instructional design, or a related field
  • Experience designing instruction, eLearning, or computer-based training
  • Strong written communication, technical writing, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Capacity to manage competing priorities while working independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Australian Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance
  • Ability to work on-site or in a hybrid arrangement from the Homebush, NSW location as required
  • Experience creating training for defence, military aviation, naval, or mission systems environments
  • Knowledge of Australian Defence Force training policies and procedures, including SADL
  • Experience using Learning Content Management Systems and eLearning authoring tools
  • Experience working within the Australian Quality Training Framework
