Entry-level engineer supporting water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects at Baxter & Woodman. The role covers design documentation, calculations, permitting, cost estimates, field investigations, and construction support.

Description

  • Support project managers with engineering design work for water, wastewater, and municipal projects
  • Help prepare construction plans and technical specifications
  • Complete engineering design calculations
  • Research project-related technical information
  • Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and bond applications
  • Produce quantity takeoffs and project cost estimates
  • Assess municipal infrastructure systems
  • Assist with permits and regulatory compliance
  • Review contractor submittals and provide technical assistance during construction
  • Perform periodic field investigations to confirm site conditions and gather data
  • Participate in site meetings with field representatives and contractors
  • Handle individual assignments while contributing to the broader project team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
  • Passed the Texas Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam, or able to pass or transfer it within the first six months of employment
  • Able to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman’s service area using personal transportation
  • Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and written communication skills
