Description

  • Support data protection matters across business projects.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and related regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements and related contract clauses.
  • Manage and coordinate Data Subject Rights requests.
  • Assess data protection risks and help mitigate them.
  • Help maintain data maps and inventories of AI use cases and assess related risks.
  • Maintain records of processing activities and data-mapping documentation.
  • Advise on compliance and insurance regulations, claims-related questions, and consumer protection matters.
  • Track legislative and regulatory changes affecting the insurance sector.
  • Assist with compliance monitoring and internal audits.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders on governance and legal matters.
  • Serve as the first contact for business teams’ data protection, contract, and regulatory questions.
  • Support automation tools, including Data Subject Rights workflows and data-mapping solutions.
  • Draft, review, and coordinate commercial contracts.
  • Maintain legal templates, registers, and internal guidance.
  • Plan and deliver cross-functional governance and legal projects.
  • Improve processes and support continuous improvement.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to build compliance into software development and data handling.
  • Implement legal technology to automate governance and legal processes.

Requirements

  • Bring at least six years of professional experience, ideally in a fast-paced, international setting.
  • Have deep expertise in data protection, legal frameworks for IT and artificial intelligence, and the European context.
  • Understand European regulatory frameworks and cross-border governance and legal matters.
  • Bring technical aptitude and experience with software development processes.
  • Experience in insurance is a plus, especially with regulation, claims-related legal matters, and consumer protection.
  • Be fluent in German and English.
  • Combine strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Communicate effectively and manage stakeholders well.
  • Show integrity, sound judgement, and commercial acumen.
  • Be comfortable working in a lean, high-performance environment.
