Frontend Engineer
Mid-level frontend engineer building scalable, AI-assisted marketplace experiences for OLX. Develop performant interfaces with React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js, backed by automated testing.
Description
- Build accessible, reliable, high-performance UI components used by millions.
- Use AI development agents to speed up technical work and reduce repetitive coding.
- Maintain component documentation, type definitions, and test suites.
- Write thorough tests, lead code reviews, and investigate production issues.
- Improve user experience, web performance, and application architecture.
- Work with product managers and UX designers to turn specifications into engineering tasks and interfaces.
- Join engineering learning sessions and apply AI-assisted frontend development practices.
- Partner with engineers, SREs, and product teams, reporting to an Engineering Manager.
Requirements
- Use agentic tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent in daily development.
- Review, test, and refactor AI-generated code, taking responsibility for its quality, security, and performance.
- Bring hands-on proficiency in TypeScript, React, Next.js or React Router, and Node.js.
- Give AI agents clear constraints, component boundaries, and contextual guidance.
- Have experience with automated testing using Jest or React Testing Library, Playwright, and end-to-end testing.
- Understand frontend systems from end to end.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate across teams in technical discussions.
