Founding CTO / AI Engineer (London Hybrid)
Lead the architecture and development of IRIS OS’s AI fundraising and relationship-intelligence platform. Own responsible AI practices and help grow the engineering function from MVP to scale.
Description
- Convert real-world network behavior into structured data and intelligent AI workflows
- Own secure, serverless product architecture across email, WhatsApp, phone, and web from MVP through scale
- Develop AI systems grounded in safety, fairness, privacy, and transparency
- Keep recommendations and matching systems explainable, responsible, and protected against harmful bias
- Establish AI governance, model evaluation, and responsible data-use practices as the platform expands
- Translate user needs into technical strategy and roadmap decisions with the CEO
- Remain hands-on while leading the engineering team’s growth
Requirements
- Demonstrated AI engineering experience building and scaling AI or data-driven products in production
- Experience delivering trustworthy AI, including model evaluation, bias mitigation, privacy-preserving design, and safe deployment
- Strong working knowledge of modern cloud and serverless infrastructure
- Ability to take products from zero to one with constrained resources
- Product-oriented engineering mindset with an understanding of user behavior and real-world workflows
- Comfort working through ambiguity and defining technical direction
- Venture ecosystem experience is a significant advantage
- Availability to work near European hours
