Field Service Engineer, Semiconductor Metrology and Inspection, Germany Remote
Install, repair, and maintain Onto Innovation’s semiconductor metrology and inspection equipment across Europe. Support engineering, applications, maintenance, customer response, and technical feedback activities.
Description
- Install, repair, and maintain Onto Innovation metrology and inspection products
- Install new tools across the European region
- Perform engineering and applications support tasks
- Respond to tool-down situations throughout Europe
- Handle maintenance requests as needed
- Submit requested documentation and feedback to the U.S. factory
- Share feedback with sales and help identify potential future leads
- Provide applications feedback to support ongoing product improvement
Requirements
- Field Service experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred
- Prior knowledge of equipment fault detection
- Experience across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines
- Semiconductor applications experience is preferred
- College or university degree, or several years of professional engineering or E&I experience
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
- Strong interpersonal and customer communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Europe, approximately 40% of the time
- May be subject to export licensing review unless a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
