Description
- Design scalable solutions and platforms for large structured and unstructured datasets, including real-time data
- Develop horizontal data architectures that support reuse and reduce costs
- Create solutions that uphold data governance, privacy, and quality
- Enforce company data privacy and security policies for data access
- Document technologies, component integrations, and logical interaction flows
- Lead technology innovation efforts and produce scouting and opportunity-analysis reports
- Track emerging technology developments and recommend effective practices
- Find improvement opportunities through integrations and legacy-system replacement
- Create prototypes and proofs of concept for innovation initiatives
- Encourage data-driven decisions while connecting technical and business stakeholders
- Build, improve, and maintain conceptual and logical database models
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline
- Specialization in BI, analytics, cloud computing, big data, or advanced data analytics is preferred
- Experience with data visualization and exploration tools such as Power BI and Looker
- Understanding of the full data pipeline, from ingestion through decision-making
- Technical knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, data structures, and big data
- Database administration and management knowledge
- Data mining expertise
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as GCP, Azure, OCI, and similar services
- Programming experience with SQL, Shell Script, R, Python, Scala, and Java
- Knowledge of Lean and Agile development practices
- Experience collecting and analyzing system requirements
