Review consumer credit applications, assess borrower risk, validate loan documentation, and help identify credit fraud. Support Axos Bank’s lending operations through timely underwriting decisions and technology-enabled process improvements.
Description
- Assess prospective borrowers and determine creditworthiness through detailed risk analysis
- Prepare clear credit recommendations and complete due diligence and background reviews before approval
- Track underwriting, approval, and final-review queues while delivering timely credit decisions
- Use technology to streamline processes, improve customer service, and control operating costs
- Uphold the Bank’s established credit quality standards
- Record assessment outcomes and support efforts to identify credit fraud
- Communicate with customers on behalf of Axos Bank while collecting and evaluating personal and financial information
- Review loan documents to confirm accuracy and completeness
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of experience in underwriting, credit analysis, or risk analysis
- Experience with indirect auto lending and direct collaboration with dealership staff is preferred
- Working knowledge of indirect auto finance, dealer funding procedures, and consumer lending regulations is preferred
- Must pass credit, criminal background, and pre-employment drug screenings, including marijuana screening
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods and operate standard office equipment
