Commercial Legal Counsel at Peppy (London Hybrid)
Lead enterprise contract negotiations and provide commercial, privacy, regulatory, and employment-law advice at Peppy, an expert-led healthcare and wellbeing platform. Improve legal operations by applying AI tools to build more efficient processes.
Description
- Report to the General Counsel and serve as a trusted business adviser
- Partner with Sales to draft and negotiate enterprise customer agreements
- Maintain legal templates and handle queries about the online contracting platform
- Draft, review, and negotiate supplier agreements
- Respond to ad hoc commercial questions for the legal team
- Maintain end-user terms, privacy policies, and related legal documentation
- Advise InfoSec, Product, Clinical Operations, and other teams on new initiatives and ventures
- Identify risks and escalate issues when appropriate
- Advise Product and Practitioner teams on privacy and regulatory compliance
- Support the People team with employment agreements and employment-law matters
- Apply AI tools to develop and improve legal-team processes
- Assist other members of the legal team
Requirements
- UK-qualified solicitor with training gained in-house or at a Legal 500 firm
- At least three years’ post-qualification experience
- Commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience from an in-house B2B SaaS role or relevant private practice
- Experience negotiating with in-house legal teams or lawyers at large enterprise businesses
- Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in corporate, commercial, and privacy law
- Comfortable adopting and learning new software tools
- Practical experience applying AI tools to legal work
- Strong interest in using AI to create more efficient working methods
