- Lead Technology and Product at flatfair
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to translate business priorities into products and technology that create value for customers and partners
- Set the technology strategy and guide significant technical decisions
- Create frameworks and standards that improve engineering quality and technical decision-making
- Review architecture and code, contributing directly where it adds value
- Manage and develop the engineering team while increasing its overall capability
- Align Product and Engineering on priorities, problem definition, delivery, and measurement
- Own technical direction, delivery, product, team capability, and alignment between technology and the business
- Help scale a multi-product proptech company
Requirements
- Demonstrated technology leadership in a small, growing business
- Sound technical judgement across software architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, and integrations
- Experience taking full ownership of engineering delivery
- Sufficient coding expertise to remain hands-on with the technology when useful
- Strong product judgement and experience partnering closely with or overseeing product management
- Experience establishing frameworks, standards, and clear technical ownership
- Ability to balance delivery speed, commercial impact, platform health, technical debt, and risk
- Proven success developing engineers and expanding capability within a small team
- Confidence to challenge ideas constructively, listen carefully, and make decisive choices
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, insurtech, proptech, or another technology-enabled service business is helpful but not required
- Relevant experience with Python/Django, Postgres, Vue.js, AWS, CircleCI, Datadog, and Sentry
- Convenient access to London would be advantageous
