BIM Engineer - Onsite in Egypt

Power International Holding is seeking an onsite BIM Engineer in Egypt to develop and coordinate Revit-based architectural, structural, and MEP models. The role supports clash detection, quantity extraction, visualization, documentation, and BIM process improvement.

Description

  • Support the manager as part of the project team
  • Collaborate with project owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Develop and assess virtual construction processes to improve efficiency and reduce project costs
  • Improve project documentation and delivery practices
  • Create and maintain architectural, structural, and MEP BIM models using tools such as Autodesk Revit
  • Attend coordination meetings to review models, resolve clashes, and support design integration
  • Conduct BIM model quality checks for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements, standards, and codes
  • Help implement BIM processes and workflows across project teams
  • Train and assist colleagues with BIM software and methodologies
  • Run clash detection analyses to identify and resolve conflicts before construction
  • Extract material and component quantities from BIM models to support estimating, scheduling, and procurement
  • Produce 3D visualizations, renderings, and walkthroughs for design communication and client presentations
  • Connect BIM models with project information and platforms such as project management and scheduling systems
  • Maintain BIM data and files through version control, organized storage, and access management
  • Keep current with BIM technologies, industry practices, and applicable standards
  • Help improve BIM processes, workflows, and methodologies on an ongoing basis
  • Support HSE programs, take part in safety awareness activities, and assist with incident reporting and resolution under company and IMS policies

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional work experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant BIM experience
  • Two years of GCC experience is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and Navisworks
  • Strong collaboration and organizational abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead and train small teams
  • Capability to perform the full range of BIM Architect or Engineer responsibilities
  • ERP experience, preferably with SAP functional skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture
  • Professional qualification in Construction Management or CAD programming
