Behavioral Health Counselor II

Provide addiction therapy, group counseling, and recovery support in Greensboro. Coordinate care with an onsite multidisciplinary team and document patient progress.

Description

  • Plan and lead group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments according to clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
  • Use crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Support treatment planning.
  • Monitor progress toward treatment plan goals.
  • Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
  • Attend required meetings, including onsite staff and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Document treatment information promptly and thoroughly in the electronic health record.
  • Comply with applicable regulatory and company requirements.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • At least a bachelor’s degree, as required by state regulations.
  • Active clinical licensure meeting state requirements, at minimum LCAS-A or LCAS.
  • Ability to plan and lead group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments.
  • Knowledge of addiction therapy.
  • Ability to use crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Ability to support treatment planning and assess progress toward treatment plan goals.
  • Ability to coordinate patient care with an onsite multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to document treatment information in an electronic health record.
  • Ability to comply with regulatory and company requirements.
