Accounts Payable Accountant – Hybrid Switzerland
Destinus is hiring an Accounts Payable Accountant to process high-volume Swiss supplier invoices in a hybrid contract role. The position covers purchase-order matching, Microsoft Dynamics and ExFlow workflows, vendor records, discrepancy resolution, and month-end accounting support.
Description
- Accurately process and post a high volume of supplier invoices within required timelines
- Match invoices to purchase orders and identify or resolve discrepancies
- Verify invoice details, approvals, supporting documents, and accounting data before posting
- Respond to invoice and payment queries and manage necessary follow-ups
- Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve them promptly
- Use Microsoft Dynamics and ExFlow daily to process and manage invoices
- Keep vendor and accounting records accurate, complete, and properly documented
- Assist the broader finance team during peak workloads to maintain efficient accounts payable operations
- Help improve accounts payable procedures and identify practical workflow efficiencies
- Assist with month-end close activities and other accounts payable accounting tasks as needed
Requirements
- Approximately 4–6 years of relevant experience in accounting, accounts payable, vendor accounting, or a comparable finance position
- Professional experience processing and posting supplier invoices in a high-volume environment
- Strong practical experience with purchase orders and purchase-order-based invoice processing
- Hands-on Microsoft Dynamics experience is required
- Experience with ExFlow is highly valued
- Education or professional training in accounting or finance
- Previous accounting experience with a company in Switzerland
- Working knowledge of Swiss accounting practices and routine finance operations
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of financial data and documentation confidently
- Fluent English is required
- German or French is a strong advantage
- Higher education or a university degree is not required
- Previous aerospace or defense experience is not required
