Accountant, Evernorth (Hybrid)
Maintain Evernorth’s general ledger, rebate balances, and reconciliations while supporting month-end close and accounting controls. Partner across teams to investigate and resolve accounting issues.
Description
- Maintain accurate general ledger records through accounting activities and journal entries.
- Handle month-end accounting responsibilities.
- Prepare and analyze monthly accruals for receivables and payables.
- Roll forward and reconcile manufacturer receivables, rebates payable, and assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Record rebate invoices, accruals, and receivable payments.
- Reconcile rebate payables.
- Help develop and update documents, and coordinate implementation of accounting and control procedures.
- Research and resolve issues with teammates and other departments.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least one year of relevant experience
- PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong Excel skills and ability to learn new software
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Proficiency in accounting processes, procedures, and controls
- Experience analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts
- Experience researching and resolving issues with cross-functional departments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Understanding of business operations and processes
- Customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a heavy workload and meet multiple deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work around departmental and project deadlines
- For home work, cable broadband or fiber internet with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
