USA Tax Analyst (Contract) - Karachi Onsite

Handle U.S. payroll and sales tax registrations, filings, audits, notices, and compliance activities. This onsite contract role supports Contour Software’s tax operations in Karachi or Lahore.

विवरण

  • Own the U.S. tax registration process for Perseus
  • Provide daily tax support to the Payroll Manager and Sales Tax Manager
  • Prepare recurring and quarterly U.S. payroll tax filings
  • Coordinate with filing centers and government agencies to resolve inquiries and avoid penalties
  • Process tax amendments and notices
  • Manage tax submissions across multiple locations
  • Develop and maintain tax process documentation
  • Review and audit tax registrations and accounts
  • Calculate, accrue, and process applicable payroll taxes
  • Assist with company tax audits as needed
  • Prepare sales/use, business and occupation, and gross receipts tax returns across jurisdictions using GP data
  • Prepare corporate tax workpapers, return-to-provision reconciliations, and tax provisions
  • Assist the financial accounting team with corporate tax matters
  • Support tax planning activities
  • Respond to correspondence and information requests from states and cities
  • Provide accounts payable backup and request sales tax payments from the Onshore Tax Team
  • Liaise with tax departments to resolve sales tax notices, questions, and discrepancies
  • Register transaction tax accounts in relevant jurisdictions
  • Prepare for and support transaction tax audits
  • Complete special assignments and other duties delegated by the supervisor

आवश्यकताएँ

  • 2–3 years of experience in U.S. payroll or sales tax
  • Experience managing the complete payroll tax cycle for remarketers while maintaining compliance with applicable tax laws
  • Experience with multistate taxation
  • Experience managing monthly and quarterly filings under state and local requirements
  • Experience transferring Payroll Tax Summary data into MasterTax and resolving variances
  • Experience overseeing payroll and tax onboarding
  • Experience resolving client issues, filing amendments, and maintaining tax code profiles
  • Experience providing first-level IT support for technical issues
  • Experience developing tax processes tailored to client requirements
  • Experience handling ADP tax issues
  • Experience processing taxes for multiple provinces and companies
  • Experience registering EHT and workers’ compensation accounts across multiple provinces and companies
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Professional, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of provincial employment standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
