Build and improve Java microservice APIs for Synchrony’s financial technology business. Collaborate with Agile teams and apply AI to API development and system performance.

- Contribute to microservice APIs across the full development lifecycle
- Work with a development team distributed across regions
- Help shape API design through collaboration
- Join Agile scrums with cross-functional teams
- Use AI to develop, improve, and document APIs and solutions
- Find opportunities to improve efficiency and system performance
- Take part in hackathons and university innovation events
- Handle other duties and special projects as assigned
आवश्यकताएँ
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or a high school diploma or GED plus two years of Java development experience in place of a degree
- Critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving ability
- Flexibility to travel for business as needed
- Familiarity with building and consuming REST web services
- Experience developing in Java
- Familiarity with Spring and Spring Boot
- Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, and Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration environments
- Familiarity with writing unit and integration tests
- Familiarity with JSON, REST, and XML-based web services
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work across functions in a matrixed organization
- Ability to troubleshoot systems, determine root causes, and identify action plans, impacts, and resolution options
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing to take a drug test, undergo a background investigation, and submit fingerprints
- Must meet Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
