Senior Shopify Developer (Remote, Philippines)

Build and maintain Shopify apps for an agency serving eCommerce brands with search engine optimization and answer engine optimization needs. Develop new features, evolve existing products, and support client integrations.

विवरण

  • Create and ship Shopify apps and features, from system design through App Store submission.
  • Focus substantial development time on new apps while maintaining and improving existing ones.
  • Produce tested, documented code and clear pull requests.
  • Resolve bugs and production issues, and reduce technical debt in existing apps.
  • Track Shopify API releases and deprecations, assessing their effects on apps and clients.
  • Identify and manage technical risks, including API limits and review requirements.
  • Use SEO and AEO practices in apps and storefront code.
  • Investigate client sites and app data flows to ensure accurate Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager tracking.
  • Work with web development teams across time zones on code reviews and release planning.
  • Keep project managers and stakeholders informed about progress, obstacles, and technical findings.
  • Help scope projects and record requirements, architecture choices, and risks.
  • Use AI coding assistants and automation securely and responsibly to improve development efficiency.

आवश्यकताएँ

  • At least 4 years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years building and releasing production Shopify apps.
  • Advanced skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Strong grasp of SQL and relational database design.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify CLI, React Router, App Bridge, and Polaris.
  • Working knowledge of GraphQL, REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, and webhooks.
  • Experience with legacy Shopify development, including Liquid and Online Store 2.0 themes.
  • Familiarity with Git workflows, automated testing, and cloud deployment platforms.
  • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals, site architecture, and data tracking tools.
  • Agency experience supporting multiple clients is a plus.
  • A track record of launching an app in the Shopify App Store is a plus.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus or Hydrogen headless storefronts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Magento, BigCommerce, or WooCommerce is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Prisma, Docker, or Figma screen design is a plus.
