Senior Kubernetes Platform Architect, Japan (Remote)
Advise Japanese enterprise customers on VMware Kubernetes Service architecture, proofs of concept, and modernization. Design VMware Cloud Foundation solutions and help customers adopt Kubernetes platforms.

- Guide enterprise customers through the design, validation, and deployment of VMware Kubernetes Service solutions on VMware Cloud Foundation.
- Align solution architecture with customer priorities alongside field account teams.
- Lead technical discovery, workshops, and proofs of concept to validate architectures and show business value.
- Work with sales to develop proposals for modernization, workload placement, and operational transformation.
- Advise on Kubernetes adoption, DevOps and CI/CD integration, scalability, security, and disaster recovery.
- Develop and share reference architectures, deployment patterns, and technical materials to support adoption.
- Present technical solutions to architects and executive decision-makers.
- Track industry developments, competing offerings, and changing enterprise needs.
- Share field feedback with product management and engineering to inform the product roadmap.
आवश्यकताएँ
- Experience in application engineering or technical sales for enterprise IT, cloud, or application platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and VMware Cloud Foundation, including vSphere, vSAN, and NSX.
- At least 10 years in technology roles, with expertise in enterprise IT architecture, application modernization, or cloud-native platforms.
- A track record of working directly with enterprise customers to deliver technical solutions and increase platform adoption.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills for engaging technical and business leaders.
- Ability to collaborate closely with sales teams to advance customer opportunities.
- Ability to identify challenges, develop solutions, and explain their business value.
- A self-directed, curious approach and ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation and Kubernetes platforms.
