Senior Java Engineer (Remote in Portugal or Brazil)
Build secure Java and Spring Boot backend services with exposure to Vue.js. This fully remote senior role is open to candidates based in Portugal or Brazil.

- Build and maintain backend services with Java and Spring Boot
- Support frontend development using Vue.js
- Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Review code with attention to quality, performance, and maintainability
- Contribute to service and feature architecture discussions
- Investigate and fix complex distributed-systems problems
- Apply secure coding, CI/CD, version-control, and release-management practices
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Provide primarily third-line technical support when needed
- Work with engineering leadership to improve team practices
- Contribute within an autonomous, collaborative, cross-functional Agile team
- Partner with senior engineers and product stakeholders
- Help deliver secure, high-quality software continuously
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least five years of commercial experience with Java and Spring
- Experience working with a modern frontend framework such as Vue.js
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs
- Practical experience with automated unit and integration testing
- Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions or Drone
- Ability to work effectively in Agile teams with short delivery cycles
- Proficiency with Git and modern codebase management practices
- Strong commitment to code quality, security, and performance
- Experience conducting code reviews and giving constructive feedback
- Strong problem-solving ability and a sense of ownership
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong written and spoken English
- Experience with large-scale, high-performance systems is advantageous
- Exposure to microservices architecture is advantageous
- Knowledge of cloud-native development is advantageous
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or Kustomize is advantageous
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures is advantageous
- Leadership or mentoring experience is advantageous
- Must be based in Portugal or Brazil
