विवरण

  • Prepare design calculations, technical reports, plans, and specifications for assigned projects.
  • Work with project managers on research, development, calculations, design, and delivery.
  • Apply engineering methods, procedures, and design criteria to complex projects spanning multiple disciplines.
  • Resolve design challenges through practical problem solving and client collaboration.
  • Create conceptual and detailed designs and calculations with current drafting and engineering software.
  • Train, mentor, and review junior engineering staff.
  • Use senior-level technical judgment to assess broad engineering solutions.
  • Organize discipline work, assign tasks, lead staff, and meet schedules and budgets.
  • Support marketing work, including preparing proposals.
  • Define scopes and effort estimates, and manage work to the agreed scope and budget.
  • Check that the discipline team’s work is complete and accurate.
  • Give team members technical direction and mentoring.
  • Coordinate technical matters with clients and project partners.
  • Lead discipline work on larger multidisciplinary projects.
  • Coordinate schedules, hours, and task assignments across disciplines.
  • Analyze, design, and evaluate bridge and tunnel structures during construction across New England.
  • Lead technical work and coordinate staff on structure replacement and rehabilitation projects.
  • Advise on structural engineering for infrastructure projects and design-build pursuits in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
  • Carry out other assigned duties.

आवश्यकताएँ

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree and 7 years, or a PhD and 6 years.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Massachusetts and Rhode Island is preferred.
  • Bridge project experience with MassDOT, MBTA, RIDOT, and Massport is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge and a record of quality work on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to prioritize work and deliver projects on time and within budget and scope.
  • Ability to perform structural analysis, design, and construction evaluations for bridges and tunnels across New England.
  • Experience leading technical tasks and coordinating staff on contract plans, specifications, and cost and quantity estimates.
  • Ability to provide structural engineering advice on major, complex infrastructure projects and design-build pursuits in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
