SAP Tax Project Manager – Vertex and Brazil Localization
Manage SAP Tax, Vertex, and Brazilian tax-localization projects for AVANTTi. Lead Tax Reform initiatives, governance, testing, go-live activities, and broader business transformation.

- Manage SAP Tax and Brazilian localization projects from initial planning through stabilization
- Control project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and quality
- Direct Vertex implementations, integrations, enhancements, testing, and production-readiness activities
- Translate Tax Reform and regulatory requirements into actionable project plans
- Collaborate with Tax, Finance, Accounting, Legal, business, SAP, Vertex, data, and technology stakeholders
- Coordinate tax determination, tax processes, reporting, master data, and financial data-model activities
- Implement governance through status reporting, steering committees, RAID management, decision logs, and escalations
- Lead multidisciplinary teams distributed across geographies
- Own testing strategy, SIT, UAT, defect resolution, cutover, go-live, and hypercare
- Maintain documentation, controls, traceability, and compliance with applicable requirements
- Identify improvements across tax processes, data quality, systems, and user experience
- Assist with change management, training, adoption, and knowledge transfer
आवश्यकताएँ
- Demonstrated success managing complex SAP, Tax, Finance, or enterprise-transformation projects
- Substantial experience with Vertex and its integration into SAP environments
- Advanced understanding of Brazilian localization and indirect-tax processes in Brazil
- Experience assessing impacts, defining requirements, and implementing SAP Tax Reform initiatives
- Knowledge of Finance and Accounting, tax determination, financial data models, and financial reporting
- Track record of managing projects end to end within corporate governance frameworks
- Strong stakeholder and risk-management skills, including leadership of multidisciplinary teams
- Advanced or fluent English with confidence leading meetings and engaging global stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Vertex Certified Professional certification or an equivalent credential
- PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, or equivalent project-management certification
- CPA or a Finance, Accounting, or Tax-related certification
- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation programs
- Experience with tax engines, fiscal integrations, and regulatory reporting
- Background in SAP production and support environments
- Experience collaborating with tax and regulatory stakeholders in Brazil
