Managing Technical Consultant, Hydrogeologist and Groundwater Field Lead
Lead groundwater field programs and hydrogeological investigations for mining and oil and gas clients. Support ERM’s Canadian sustainability consulting practice through technical delivery, team leadership, and client engagement.

- Grow ERM’s hydrogeology business across Canada
- Lead complex groundwater field programs for mining and oil and gas clients
- Deliver technical work for water management and sustainability projects
- Work with multidisciplinary project teams and ERM’s global technical network
- Support responsible resource development through hydrogeological investigations and data analysis
- Develop trusted client relationships and support business development and successful project delivery
- Plan and coordinate groundwater programs, including drilling, well installation, and multiyear monitoring
- Supervise field teams and subcontractors while upholding health and safety requirements
- Collect and analyze aquifer data from slug, step-drawdown, and constant-rate pumping tests
- Review field data for quality assurance and quality control and support groundwater interpretation
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations alongside senior hydrogeologists
- Share technical knowledge and best practices with ERM’s global water resources team
- Contribute to multidisciplinary projects while upholding technical quality and sustainability
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bachelor’s degree in geoscience, hydrogeology, engineering, or a related field, with strong academic preparation in physical and contaminant hydrogeology
- At least four years of consulting experience planning hydrogeology field work, analyzing groundwater data, and preparing reports
- Eligibility for E.I.T./G.I.T. status or a professional designation such as P.Eng. or P.Geo. in a Canadian jurisdiction
- Demonstrated experience leading drilling, well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater sampling programs
- Experience with field-data QA/QC and analysis using AQTESOLV, AquiferTest Pro, and Surfer
- Strong knowledge of hydrogeological processes in mining, oil and gas, and industrial settings
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
- Willingness to travel extensively, including up to 60% or more
- Valid driver’s license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle
- This position does not offer immigration sponsorship
- Knowledge of MODFLOW and/or FEFLOW is an asset but not required
