- Translate customer and business needs into system requirements and architecture for cross-functional product development.
- Coordinate teams and schedules across hardware, embedded software, and IoT and cloud integration throughout the product lifecycle.
- Define system architecture and manage interfaces among hardware, firmware, and cloud-connected IoT components.
- Decompose product and customer requirements into component specifications and maintain traceability.
- Guide technical trade-off decisions across hardware, firmware, and cloud engineering.
- Coordinate system integration, verification, and validation across engineering teams.
- Track technical risks and dependencies across teams, and proactively resolve or escalate blockers.
- Work with hardware engineers on chip and system-on-module selection, camera, radar, and LiDAR integration, and edge architecture.
- Work with firmware and software teams on embedded architecture, IoT connectivity, and cloud integration strategy.
- Support product development and ISO process compliance across the full lifecycle.
- Apply agile methods suited to development spanning hardware, software, and cloud systems.
- Represent systems engineering in product planning, design reviews, and stakeholder discussions.
- Report to the Director of Hardware Engineering and collaborate with product and engineering leads across hardware, firmware, and cloud and IoT teams.

- At least 7 years of systems engineering or equivalent experience, including substantial work in traffic, automotive, or industrial technology.
- At least 3 years in a technical leadership role coordinating teams across hardware, embedded firmware, and cloud or IoT.
- Strong knowledge of hardware development, including chip or system-on-module compute platforms such as NVIDIA GPU-based systems, and camera, radar, or LiDAR interfaces.
- Understanding of embedded and firmware development, testing practices, and constraints.
- Experience with IoT connectivity and cloud integration, including device-to-cloud communication, data pipelines, remote management and over-the-air updates, and security.
- Demonstrated ability to define requirements and system architecture across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Experience with formal product development processes and ISO standards.
- Practical experience applying agile methods to hardware and systems engineering programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to align product, hardware, firmware, and cloud stakeholders.
