- Lead a global industry engagement strategy that supports commercialization and business priorities
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across producer groups, food companies, processors, retailers, associations, policymakers, NGOs, and other stakeholders
- Increase PIC’s visibility and influence among priority decision-makers throughout the protein value chain
- Represent PIC at conferences, trade associations, advisory groups, and strategic industry forums
- Develop and oversee engagement plans for priority organizations and stakeholders
- Shape industry conversations and build confidence in emerging technologies and their responsible use
- Track industry trends, market conditions, policy changes, and competitor activity
- Assess emerging risks, stakeholder concerns, and opportunities affecting commercialization, market acceptance, and business strategy
- Convert stakeholder and market insights into recommendations for commercialization, communications, stewardship, and corporate strategy
- Work with internal leaders to coordinate stakeholder programs, executive engagements, and relationship-management activities
- Produce executive briefings, stakeholder profiles, and strategic updates to support leadership decisions
- Advance PIC’s industry leadership through speaking engagements, partnerships, thought leadership, and stakeholder education
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, business, communications, public affairs, political science, or a related discipline
- Seven to ten years of experience in stakeholder engagement, industry relations, public affairs, government affairs, strategic partnerships, corporate affairs, or a comparable function
- Track record of developing and maintaining relationships with senior executives, industry associations, customers, policymakers, and other external stakeholders
- Demonstrated success creating and delivering engagement strategies aligned with commercial or organizational goals
- Experience representing an organization at industry conferences, trade associations, advisory boards, and executive forums
- Working knowledge of agriculture, food production, animal health, biotechnology, life sciences, or related sectors
- Ability to synthesize stakeholder input, market intelligence, and industry trends into practical business recommendations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing abilities
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and stakeholder groups
- Experience collaborating across commercial, communications, marketing, regulatory, scientific, and executive functions
- Professional discretion and sound judgment when managing sensitive matters
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 50% of the time
- Relevant advanced degree such as an MBA, master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent preferred
- Background in animal agriculture, livestock production, genetics, food systems, biotechnology, or agricultural technology preferred
- Knowledge of gene editing, biotechnology, sustainability, animal health, or emerging agricultural innovations preferred
- Experience preparing executive briefings, stakeholder plans, and strategic recommendations for senior leaders preferred
- Established relationships across agriculture, food and protein production, government, trade associations, and related industries preferred
